Ringing in the New Year
In China, Manos Volunteers and children helped ring in the new year with a Gala filled with a showcase of talent and fun--from dancing to singing and raffling off prizes, this quiet village came to life at the Manos Community Center, and became the place to be for New Year festivities!
Becoming a new tradition
Each year since Manos came to China, the children we serve receive a visit from no one other than Santa Claus himself! Bringing gifts and leaving smiles, Santa has become a tradition with Manos in China...adding a little "magic" to the memories made, and giving children of poor, remote villages in China a truly unique holiday experience!
Celebrating Chile at Manos
The Cultural Education Program year kicked off in October with Chile--community centers in China and Mexico were transformed into the sights and sounds of Chile and students learned about everything from the Condors of the Andes mountains to the Chilean Rodeo. They even ended this session with a Chilean Barbecue and Rodeo fun!
Halloween Party
Below, children at the Manos Mexico Community Center enjoy a Halloween party where they get to dress up in costumes, enjoy food, music, and a little Halloween haunt as the Center transforms into a fun "haunted house."
