OCTOBER 2010 ISSUE
Paving the Way: Manos Board approves paving school yard
What was previously covered with deep muddy puddles is now a smooth cemented playground for the remote one-room school house in Pingshan, China.  In October, Manos Board members approved the cementing of this school yard and the children now have a place to play--rain or shine!
Volunteer Training: Making history
Mariana Hernandez (pictured below ) has been in Manos Programs since she was 9 years old. Now at 18 year's of age, she is making history as the first Manos student to attend a university! Along with her college schedule, she continues to donate her time by volunteering on the weekends to teach the younger children in her
community through the Manos Volunteer in Training Program.

Board In Action: Making a difference
Manos Board Member Le Hung and his wife Dung are gathering support for Manos at their nail shop, Max Nails, in Rochester, New York.  Below, they are pictured with the Manos donation box.
