Summer Kick-Off: Water-Day & Summer Camp-Out
It was
the weekend of June 15-16th and Manos hosted the Annual Water-Day & Summer
Camp-Out. Our older kids had a day at the Water Park, while the little ones had
fun at Camp with kiddy-pools and water games. The groups united at the
end of the day for marshmallows and fireside tales. This was a truly
special time for the kids and volunteers, especially for those who had never
been at a water park or a camp-out.
An Inspirational 6th Annual SEE Program trip to Beijing
The 6th Annual SEE Program trip to Beijing was a success! Thanks to our wonderful supporters, 12 top students from six poor, remote villages were rewarded for their scholastic achievement with a two days-two nights trip to Beijing. While in their nation's capital city, they walked the art district, visited
the Museum of Natural History, and climbed the Great Wall of China, among other adventures!
What an experience for these young students!
Manos' 2nd Annual Summer Choir Concert Unites Village
After weeks of practicing, the Manos Junior and Senior choirs of Zhuang Tou Village gave an unforgettable performance, including songs and dance performances in front of volunteers visiting from abroad. The much anticipated event united this remote village in China with a true cultural event, that also brought together generations of villagers through the Senior and Junior choirs. What a day to remember for all!
